Canal Street Market

Canal street Market is a cute market in china town, filled with foods, drinks and even vendors. I love to stop by Lazy Sundaes to grab a bubble tea (the Strawberry Matcha is my favorite), and then get some steamed rice rolls from Joe’s Steamed Rice Rolls. The rice rolls start at around 5$ and it’s pretty filling too, so a great option if you’re hungry but on a budget. My favorite menu item from them is the “Joe’s signature Rice Roll”. If you’re feeling something different there’s also plenty of other options. There are a variety of Thai, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese and Filipino meals you can get. Oh and pizza too. Finally, before I leave I always make sure to stop by Daniel Corpuz Chocolatier for some delicious chocolates to bring home. They have so many tasty bon bon flavors, but I’d have to say my favorite is between the matcha and the ube. Plus, if you visit Canal Street Market on Friday-Sunday there are also plenty of vendors selling a variety of things from art to clothing, so it’s definitely worth checking out!
Bao Tea House

I stumbled upon this place a few years ago and thought “that looks delicious”. I’ve been going back almost every single time I go to the city because their food is not only so good but also super affordable. They have savory bao, steamed bao, sweet bao, onigiri, and tea as well. My go to is usually a fried chicken bao (steamed) or a chicken curry rice bao. If I’m feeling something sweet I like to go for their lava bao. As for drinks I’ve only gotten to try their starry, starry night tea and its very flavorful but not too sweet!
More to Come!
