Epcot was one of my favorite Parks at Disney, only second to Hollywood studios because, ya know Galaxy’s Edge! But you all know how much I love travel so Epcot was quite the adventure for me. For those who don’t know, I’m 50% Norwegian, and I’ve never been to Norway but am also desperately trying to embrace and learn more about Norwegian culture… so I spent WAY too long at the Norway pavilion. Between rides and eating food at Space 220, we made sure to visit each and every country, but simply did not have the time to grab something to eat from every country. Those countries include the UK, France, Italy, and Morocco. However I’ve heard especially that Italy has great gelato (obviously) and France has great pastries (obviously again) haha. I’m also pretty bummed I missed out on the hummus sampler at the Morrocco pavilion. You will notice throughout this article that I rated a lot of the foods at a 7/10. This means that they were really good but didn’t blow me away. Simply something I enjoyed eating but i’d be okay with skipping to try something new next time I go. Also, side note, I recently had a pretty upset stomach before the trip so I tried to stay away from alcohol, but I made sure to try every drink that had an alcoholic alternative! Anyways, I will get to the point!
Empanadas & Churros – La Cantina de San Angel – Mexico

I had to combine these two because I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of either, but both were delicious. The Empanadas were filled with cheese and came with a salsa verde sauce, and the churros were sweet and crunchy and came with a chocolate dipping sauce! I’d rate both combined at a 7/10. Only downsides were that I wish they had more empanada options (like chorizo!) and I prefer that my churros have a softer center, but overall pretty good!
Eplekake – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – Norway

This one was really tasty, think a mini apple pie/ apple tart. It had a drizzle of caramel and some powdered sugar on top. Simple, but tasty so a great option for non adventurous eaters. Overall, sweet and tart, but not TOO sweet! 8/10
Kristoff’s Kaffe – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – Norway

Basically like sipping coffee ice cream. Honestly really really good, but a bit too creamy for me. 7/10
They have a version of this with alcohol called the Viking Coffee. It’s the same drink but with Bailey’s and chocolate liquor. Originally I heard that they served this in a really cool souvenir cup but when I went and asked it seems like it’s been discontinued unfortunately. Regardless though I think the drink is definitely still worthit! Especially if you’re into coffee ice cream like I am.
School Bread – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – Norway

Basically a small bread bun filled with custard in the center. This one was actually pretty complicated for me. When combined with the filling the bread was sooo good, but the flavor of the bread on its own tasted too strongly of clove I think it was? For me at least. I personally am not into those flavors but for those who are, this is definitely a unique and really tasty treat. Due to my own personal preferences, I’ve rated this one a 6.5/10. However if I was rating the combination of custard with the bread only it would be more like 8/10. At the end of the day though, I’ve heard so many good things about this and it is a very unique treat so I’d still highly advise ya try it.
Spring Rolls – Joy of Tea – China

This one is pretty self explanatory but also a classic. I wouldn’t say they were anything crazy, just your normal takeout egg rolls. Since it didn’t really taste any better than any of the other egg rolls I’ve had, but it also wasn’t bad, I’ll give it a 6/10.
Honey Hibiscus Iced Tea – Joy of Tea – China

Can be made with or without alcohol and comes with blueberry popping boba. OMG for a simple fruity bubble tea this was amazing. It was a bit on the sweeter side but as a lover of sweet tea it was perfect for me. It was also very refreshing, especially in the Florida heat. Given that it wasn’t anything crazy, but was delicious and very refreshing I’m giving it a 9/10.
Caramel Butter Bar – Karamell-Küche – Germany

Think decadent. It’s a combination of a blondie and soft Werther’s caramel. I’m not the best with super sweet food so I could only eat half a bar, but the part I enjoyed was really smooth and kind of had a “melt in your mouth” feel to it. Crumbly on the outside and gooey on the inside, overall, I’d rate it an 8/10.
American Dream – Fife and Drum – US

Fanta Cherry and Blue Raspberry flavored slushy with vanilla ice cream in the middle. There’s not a ton to say about this one since its pretty straightforward. It was very tasty and can be enjoyed layer by layer or by mixing it together. Overall, I’d give it a 7/10 because it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary (not that it should be considering this is the US and I live in the US) but it also was a really nice flavor combination.
Kaki Gori – Kabuki Cafe – Japan

This is a Japanese shaved ice! The flavor we went with was Melon and it was sooo good. This is yet another refreshing treat to combat the florida heat. And the flavor was really yummy. They definitely put enough of the syrup too because once we mixed it around you could taste it pretty well. I will say however that I couldn’t finish it because there was a lot of syrup but if you like things on the less sweet side i’d simply ask for less syrup because the flavor is very worthit. I’d say 7/10.
Side Note: There was this really pretty drink at the Japan pavilion at Outdoor Kitchen – Hanami that I didn’t get the chance to try. It’s called a “Nigori Dragonfruit Sake Cocktail” and was pink and sparkly. I had to ask someone what it was because I kept seeing it everywhere and it looked so pretty. Will definitely be trying it next time I go.
Frushi – Outdoor Kitchen-Hanami – Japan

Disclaimer – I believe this was mainly a part of the flower and food garden festival so it may be seasonal. However, it was really tasty! It had a nice combination of strawberry, pineapple, and lychee and the sweet rice balanced out the acidity of the fruits really nicely. The cherry on top was definitely the berry drizzle though. Yet another 7/10 for flavor and composition.
Tropical Breeze – La Isla Fresca – Between France and Morocco

I am sorry to all those grapefruit lovers out there, truly. Because I hated this, with a passion. Its supposed to be like a frozen grapefruit lemonade which I was curious about, but the bitterness of the grapefruit was so overpowering that I couldn’t drink it. However if you like grapefruit or very bitter drinks, this is the drink for you. Due to my own personal bias lol I’m giving this one a 3/10.
Coconut Tres Leches – La Isla Fresca – Between France and Morocco

Pretty much a plant based tres leches (I do not know if the cake itself has dairy or not though). The three milks used were oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk of course and it was really tasty! My only complaint, having been spoiled by some really good tres leches before is that the topping was pretty much plain whipped cream so it could have used some more flavor in that area. Otherwise it was really tasty! I’ll give it a 6.5/10
Melonade – Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea – Canada

This one is exactly what it sounds like! Its a frozen watermelon lemonade and yet another refreshing beverage. It was simple but tasted really good and i have no complaints. Ill give it an 8.5/10
And that’s the end of this article! If you have any questions or comments or even would like to leave a secondary opinion, feel free to do so! I’ll have to go back again soon! 🙂
